You are not alone on this journey. Advaya's parent guidance program ensures you have everything you need to support your child's growth — at the centre and at home.
As children step into their teenage years, the focus of therapeutic intervention naturally evolves. It transitions from early childhood milestones toward a much larger, vital goal: sustainable independence, self-advocacy, and real-world readiness.
We are proud to welcome you to Advaya's Transition & Life Skills Program — uniquely designed for young adults aged 14 and above.
Our specialized afternoon program bridges the gap between clinical support and practical living. At Advaya, your child will not just attend sessions; they will actively manage their environment. Through a structured, evidence-based curriculum, we utilize specialized spaces — including a basic cooking lab, computer tech zone, gardening arena, and vocational workshop — to build functional life skills.
We target critical domains: executive functioning, digital literacy, vocational aptitude, and physical wellness through yoga and sports. Every student receives a customized Individualized Transition Plan (ITP) backed by data-driven tracking.
Our goal is to ensure that the progress achieved within our walls seamlessly translates into meaningful independence at home and within the community. We view parents as our vital ecosystem partners — and we mean that deeply.
Space in this cohort is strictly structured to maintain an optimal therapist-to-student ratio. We invite you to schedule a comprehensive initial consultation and take the next step in shaping a self-reliant future for your young adult.
We don't just work with your child — we work with your whole family. Here's how we ensure you are empowered, informed, and supported at every step.
Every student receives a fully customized ITP — mapping their unique strengths, challenges, and goals into a data-tracked personal plan. Your child's ITP is reviewed, updated, and shared with you regularly.

Every student's ITP is built through a collaborative, data-driven process that involves our therapists, educators, and most importantly — you, the parent.
A thorough clinical evaluation covering cognitive, communicative, sensory, motor, and vocational domains — building a complete profile of strengths and goals.
A collaborative session with you to understand your family's priorities, long-term vision, and the specific outcomes you want for your child.
Our multi-disciplinary team designs a personalized plan with specific, measurable, time-bound goals across all therapeutic and vocational domains.
Every goal is tracked daily using our electronic health records system, with progress updates shared transparently at each feedback session.
ITPs are reviewed and updated regularly — evolving with your child's growth and ensuring every goal remains relevant, achievable, and ambitious.
Continuity is the key to lasting development. Here are evidence-based strategies our therapists recommend for everyday home life.
Use daily visual schedules at home to help your child anticipate transitions and manage their day with greater independence and less anxiety.
Acknowledge and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. Positive reinforcement builds confidence, motivation, and the desire to try again.
Create calm sensory spaces at home and use the regulation strategies our OT team has shared in your parent sessions — especially during transitions.
Practice the communication strategies from your child's sessions in everyday conversations — during meals, outings, and daily routines.
Involve your child in simple cooking, gardening, and household tasks that reinforce the life skills they are building at Advaya's specialized labs.
Align home rules and expectations with the structure used at Advaya — consistent boundaries across settings dramatically accelerate skill generalization.
Whether you're just beginning to explore neurodiversity support or looking for specific program information — our team is ready to listen, guide, and support you.
